The Grand Tour breaks Amazon Prime video audience record: BBC Newsbeat reports that according to Amazon, the first episode of The Grand Tour has become the biggest premiere on Amazon Prime, overtaking The Man in The High Castle. Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos said, “The guys are back, doing what they do best.” As well as bringing record audiences, on the day The Grand Tour was released, new Prime membership sign-ups exceeded all previous days, with the exception of their Amazon Prime Day. Amazon UK/EU Long Term Storage Fees: Chris Dawson at Tamebay reports Amazon have notified sellers that new Long Term Storage fees are going to be levied on stock you hold in their EU Fulfilment centres, with fees set to kick in as early as the 15th of February 2017. Amazon say that their fulfilment centres contain millions of units that have remained in storage for an extended time without selling. Amazon it seems have run out of space in their fulfilment centres, that’s why they are forever building new warehouse and are exploring options such as Seller Fulfilled Prime. Continue reading…

Amazon UK and EU ban all incentivised reviews:  Chris Dawson at Tamebay reports that after Amazon banned incentivised reviews in September on the US marketplace, it has now done so in the UK and EU. What you can do is “offer discounts that are generally available to all Amazon customers, such as Lightning Deals” and “give out free products at trade shows, conventions or other similar venues where you are unable to monitor whether the recipients write a review”.
