Selling on eBay is largely a numbers game and if you’re not paying to these four metrics, then you’re missing out big-time. And just what little nuggets does SellerExpress have in store for you? Well, the kind that can bring in more money for you, of course! Metric 1: Selling Costs We see this happen way too many times: you sign up for a bank account and don’t pay attention to all the little fees they milk from you. Or maybe your favourite foods are being packaged in smaller sizes, but you’re still paying the same price for them. Whatever the case may be, there are plenty of instances where people aren't aware of just where their money is going. Don’t let that happen to you with your eBay account by regularly logging into your seller hub and monitoring how much you’re paying. And further than that, keep track of all expenses that go into building your eBay business, things like marketing and advertising, supplies, shipping costs, customs and tariffs, and anything else you’re spending money on. Metric 2: What Your Competitors Prices Are We’ve [...]

Your ecommerce site is the first point of contact between you and buyers, so why not try and make it as enticing as possible? SellerExpress has come up with 7 ways to improve the looks of it, all of which are designed to keep potential customers on there as long as possible. 1. Make A/B Testing Your Best Friend You have your control — ‘A’ — and your variant — ‘B’ —, with the latter being the sole difference in your page. It’s the best way to tweak the little things and find out which ones need to be scrapped and which ones should take up permanent residence. 2. Simplify Aesthetics The downfall of A/B testing is you always remain at a static number of testable things, which doesn’t speak to whether or not your page needs to be filled up or streamlined. Generally speaking, though, it’s a better idea to pare down the look of [...]

Guest blog by Simon from Parcelhub Have you ever received an item in the post and felt like opening it was a game of pass the parcel? While studies have shown that eCommerce offers a more eco-friendly shopping experience when compared to physical shopping, it doesn’t always feel that way. This is largely due to the amount of packaging that sellers use to protect their goods during shipping. Parcelhub works with over 500 Amazon, eCommerce, and eBay retailers, and sees the impact of the way in which goods are packaged. However while it’s important to protect the goods you have sold, excessive packaging is not only bad for the environment it can also be bad for your bank balance. One benefit of selling on Amazon is that you can cater to your buyers needs while also having complete control over how the item is packed and presented. Here they offer some more [...]
